Job Expo: 50 Companies to be Represented at GDOL Event

2 local churches are co-sponsoring the event on May 1.

Two Gwinnett churches are teaming with the Georgia Department of Labor to sponsor a career expo, where 50 companies are expected to be either hiring or scouting future employees.

The expo is scheduled 9 a.m. to noon on May 1, 2014, at the first United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville, 395 West Crogan St., off Langley Drive.

The United Methodist Church of Snellville is co-hosting the event.

Applicants are urged to bring resumes and be prepared to fill out applications and/or be interviewed.

Those expected to participate in the expo include: ACS Solutions, Allied Barton Security, Applebee’s Restaurants, Caterpillar, Cobb County’s Department of Public Services, Crossroads Career Network, Disabled American Vets (DAV), DeKalb County Police Department, Dunbar Armored, Edward Jones, Farmers Insurance Group, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Flying Food Group, Georgia Department of Public Safety, Goodwill of North Georgia, Gwinnett County Police Department, Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services, Gwinnett Public Schools’ Transportation Division, Home Depot, Independent Electrical Contractors, Institute for Veterans Health, Johnson Service Group, Kaiser Permanente, Lowe’s Home Centers, Meggitt Training Systems, Millennium Security Services, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Perimeter Staffing Placements, Sage North America, Schneider National, Summit Ridge Hospital, and U.S. Navy Reserves.
