Kroger Stores Hosting School Supply Drive

"Back 2 School" campaign will benefit children in the metro Atlanta area.

Kroger stores throughout the Atlanta area are participating in a school supply drive through July 28.

The 18th annual "Back 2 School" campaign is made possible through a partnership between 125 Kroger stores, the Children’s Restoration Network and WSB-TV.

According to a Kroger press release, the Children’s Restoration Network works with thousands of homeless children each year.

“Children’s Restoration Network provides hope and support to families in our community as they work toward ending the cycle of homelessness,” said Glynn Jenkins, director of communications and public relations for Kroger’s Atlanta Division, in a released statement. “We encourage our customers to participate in the ‘Back 2 School’ drive and help provide Atlanta’s with the tools necessary for academic success.”

The and will be participating in the drive. Requested school supplies include: new and gently used book bags, wide and college-ruled notebook paper, spiral notebooks, three-ring binders, pens and pencils, calculators, markers, scissors, file folders, rulers, crayons, glue and dictionaries.

Prepackaged school supply bags will be available for purchase at area metro Atlanta Kroger stores.
