Local Company Turns Houses Into Holiday Dream Homes

Brandon Loyd is fortunate enough to have a job that gives him a “warm and fuzzy” feeling.

Now in his eighth season as a holiday decorating consultant, Loyd spends the winter months transforming area residences into holiday dream homes.

As an employee of Christmas Décor by Enchantment Lighting, a Flowery Branch based company that provides decorating services in Dacula, Braselton, Lawrenceville, Hoschton, Winder and other nearby communities, Loyd plans and installs lighted holiday displays.

“It’s full service holiday decorating company,” Loyd said. “I come out and do everything.”

The company provides all the materials, completes the installation and performs any necessary maintenance during the season. After the holidays, Loyd and his team return and remove the decorations.

“[The clients] don’t have to worry about storing any of these large boxes, we store everything back at our warehouse,” Loyd said. “We try to just make it as simple as we can for the homeowner.”

Each design installation is customized. Loyd said he does a line item proposal so customers can choose exactly which features they want to incorporate in their displays. Prices begin at $500, but Loyd said the average is usually $800-$1,200.

“It really completely depends on the size of the house,” he said.

Most installations include lights along the front of the house, gutter lines and front peaks as well as tree-lit garland around the front door and lights outlining front landscaped beds.

According to Loyd, the feedback from customers has been excellent.

“It’s completely positive across the board,” he said. “Warm and fuzzy is the phrase I like to use from time to time.”

Loyd said he thoroughly enjoys seeing the end results of his work.

“It’s hard to come out here and look at this when I get done and not have a smile on my face,” Loyd said. “It’s just outstanding and breathtaking.”
