New Dacula Fitness Studio Now Open

Dacula residents looking to get fit now have a new exercise option.

Vibrant Life Fitness USA, located at 1862 Auburn Road, is now open.

According to owner Paul Jolie, the fitness studio is unique because it offers one-on-one fitness instruction and utilizes “Power Plate” whole body vibration equipment.

“This technology has been used in Europe and other countries for over 12 years,” according to a Vibrant Life Fitness USA press release. “It was perfected by the Russians in the 60s for use in their Cosmonaut and Olympic athlete training.  It is becoming more popular in the US, and is found in some gyms, chiropractors’ offices, major sports teams (like the Atlanta Falcons and Braves), physical therapy clinics and celebrities.” 

As part of the workout, clients will exercise on a platform that vibrates in three dimensions between 25 and 50 times each second. According to Jolie, the vibration helps improve balance and flexibility, increases muscle mass and strength, decreases weight and cellulite, increases blood circulation and more.

“The biggest benefit is that clients can get a whole body workout including stretch, balance and stability, core, power and strength plus massage/recovery on the equipment in less than 30 minutes,” Jolie stated in the release.

Jolie, 70, says he feels like a 40-year-old man.

“I teach a class on Aging and Health, and Wellness Through Knowledge. I tried to get many seniors to take charge of their health, especially for exercising, but all too many had physical problems, or just didn’t have one or two hours to spend in a gym,” he said. “When I found Power Plate equipment, I thought it was too good to be true.  However, the more I investigated this technology, the more I knew that I needed to bring this to my friends and neighbors here in Gwinnett County.”
