NGMC Prepared to Succeed Under New Health Care Reform Laws

Northeast Georgia Medical Center honored as HealthStrong Top 100 hospital. The honor was based on an index that uses 56 measures of performance to identify the hospitals best prepared for success under the new health reform laws.

Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) recently received several awards as a result of the facility’s Hospital Strength Index.

NGMC was honored as one of the HealthStrong Top 100 hospitals in the nation and was also awarded Best in Strength, Best in Region and Best in State.

The Hospital Strength Index compares U.S. hospitals in a variety of categories including financial, value-based and market-driven performance indicators. The index is designed to provide hospitals with a performance rating as mandates of the 2010 Affordable Care Act are implemented. The index uses 56 measures of performance to identify the hospitals best prepared for success under the new health reform laws.
