Opening Date for Gun Club Pushed Back

Construction has been delayed by rain.

Construction on the Georgia Gun Club, a development off Braselton Highway, is slowly moving forward after being delayed by rain.

The tentative opening for the 37,300-square-foot facility, which will have 28 indoor lanes, has been pushed back to February 2014, owner Verne Fowler said.

“It’s probably going to be one of the cleanest, nicest facilities you’ll ever see or ever be in," he told Patch in March.

The facility is set to include an 8,000-square-foot retail store, a classroom, a member’s lounge, a gunsmith shop and a simulator room and will offer pistol, rifle and shotgun shooting courses as well as personal protection classes.
