BK consistently receives perfect scores. I moved here a McD guy but sometimes it's not the chain as much as it is the people running it at your local spot. Next time you find yourself at McDonalds, you should roll across the street instead. Food is better prepared also.

I'm with Kevin on this one. BK has much better food than Mickey D's - if it's prepared properly. McDonald's is consistent, but consistently average.

I generally prefer BK too, but have frankly been pretty upset with them ever since they did away with the Angry Whopper. My son wrote them off when they dropped cheesy tots from the menu. I also miss how they used to call their fish sandwich "The Whaler." Yes, I know, not politically correct, but more interesting than "fish sandwich."

What makes a Whopper angry?
Kristi Reed (Editor) September 05, 2012 at 05:08 PM
Being topped with jalapenos and a spicy sauce. It is delicious. I was able to get one at the Whopper Bar down in Orlando after they quit selling them in local stores, but haven't had one since.

Menchie's: Person in charge refused to provide his name, refused to answer any questions, and was washing his clothes in the vegetable sink. Yeah, I think I'll lay off the frozen yogurt for a while.

How can you make a "70" on your health score when all you sell is yogurt ??
Lilliane M. Coldwell September 07, 2012 at 11:05 PM
WokStar is now closed.

Menchie's needs to close as fast as they opened. I met someone in the food business and she will not eat at a restaurant that has a health score lower than 90. Just think what the health inspector missis.....

According to their Facebook page, there is a dispute between the owners (?). I am trying to get in touch with someone at the restaurant to get details and find out if they plan to reopen.

I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for many years. It isn’t that hard to maintain a clean establishment. I’m sickened by these scores. Particularly with restaurants that have a limited product offering such as pizza or yogurt. Your operations are fairly simplified. There is little excuse for a score less than 100%
David September 12, 2012 at 02:22 PM
Some things are not food related. Burned out light bulb gets deductions, cracked tile on floor, etc. But some things are inexcusable. If it involves food, follow the rules. And don't wash your clothes in the vegetable sink.
