Attempted Kidnapping in Brooks Crossing Subdivision
On Tuesday, January 14th, a 7 year old boy playing basketball in his front yard was almost kidnapped. A white male, tall and lean in stature, with brown hair drive past his home and circled the cul de sac in order to turn around. He stopped in front if the home where the boy was playing basketball in his driveway, exited his truck while leaving it running. He sprinted towards the boy, who had only been outside for a couple of minutes as his parents were coming out to play as well. This boy ran for his life inside his home and fortunately got away. The police were called to investigate and were giving a great description. The police didn't write anything down and basically stated there was nothing that can be done without the make and model if the truck. The truck was a black pick up truck. It had been reported as a suspicious vehicle earlier at 1AM on the same day parents need to be aware of this incident and be on the look out. This little boy knew what to do as he had been taught Stranger Danger. Don't talk, just run. Parents if you see any suspicious vehicle or one that matches this description in your neighborhood, take down the tag number and call the police!
