Educate Me So I Can Vote on Super Tuesday!

With Super Tuesday right around the corner what measure are you using to decide whom to vote for?

Well, our time has come. It is just around the corner. The national news shall soon be flying in to covering our decision. It is now Georgia's turn to be in the national spotlight!  It is time for the horrible, rotten, lousy, no good, Super Tuesday.

In the United States, Super Tuesday, refers to the Tuesday in February or March of a presidential election year when the greatest number of states hold primary elections to select delegates to national conventions at which each party’s presidential candidates are officially nominated. In order to become a party's presidential nominee, a candidate must do well on Super Tuesday as more delegates are won on Super Tuesday than any other day during the campaign trail.

In Georgia, Super Tuesday will be held Tuesday, March 6, that is next Tuesday! Are you ready?  Do you know whom you will be voting for yet?  Will you arrive at your polling place ready to press the “NEXT” button and have a part in placing the next man in our White House?  For the first time in my life, I have not decided whom I will vote for.  I have listened to the commercials. I studied the debates.  I have read up on each of the candidates positions.  I have heard the negative commercials coming from each camp.  Why can I not make a swift, clean cut, finger pressing choice as I have in the past?  What has changed in the political system?

In the past, the Republican Party was the party of less spending, less taxes, get the government out of your pocket, and morals. In the past the Democrat Party was for more spending, more taxes, government in your business and weaker morals.  Today there seems to be a shift.  Both parties are spending money we do not have.  Both parties lack moral leadership. The democrats will stay in office and be drug through the dirt during their sex scandals.  “I am going back to the business of the American people,” shouted Clinton as he lied to the grand jury and the American people about his affair with Monica, an intern at the White House.

The Republicans will leave their office in disgrace with an apology. Rep. Chris Lee-R, from New York resigned after a story broke that he sent a shirtless photo of himself to a woman who was not his wife.  At the very least, the Republican don’t drag the country through their sex scandals; they just LEAVE!  Where does that leave a voter that wants a moral person leading our country. Since 1776, sex scandals have been as numerous as cherry trees surrounding the Washington tidal basin. (Wikipedia-Federal Political Sex Scandals in the US Government)

In the past, the Republicans were known to be tight with the country’s purse strings, while the Democrats spent more freely on social programs.  Nowadays, the Republicans are the party of big spenders and the Democrats are the party of bigger spenders.  So, where does a voter turn for a leader who realizes, like normal American families do, that you can’t borrow money from China to give away on programs that we can’t afford in the first place! Every government program is now a lead weight around our children and grandchildren's neck.

It is a new day for all voters, in that all the candidates are flawed in the eyes of someone. Gone are the romantic days of believing each man was filled with Godly qualities, have never told a lie , and would bring honor to the country. Today is seems like we must choose between the lesser of men.  All are flawed; men, women, and candidates! Is it foolish to think that one of these men can lead us out of 9 percent unemployment, falling housing prices, gas prices that are heading towards $5 a gallon, continued bank bailouts, and global instability?

First, I am sure I will not be voting for Obama. Obama had his chance. Even if you believe he inherited the ills of this country so, then too, did every other incoming president and they did not belly ache, they lead!  Obama is not a leader, he is a potty mouth whiner who bows to our enemies and has no answer to our vast problems, at lease he has not for the last three years. Wow! That was rough, sorry liberals.

So, I must decide between the Republicans that are left, as too whom I should vote for.  Please take a moment of your time and “SELL ME” on your man!  How many citizens out there have taken time to decipher (not on the list of 500) through the ads, watch to the commercials, listen to the radio spots, and learn from the debates and then come to a firm conclusion on whom can lead us out of this mess?  I am often accused of being too firm in my opinions, so now is your opportunity to sway my mind.  As I say, EDUCATE YOURSELF & VOTE, so educate me as to why I should vote for your candidate. There are over 300 candidates, across the country on state ballots, running for the highest office in the land.   Hurry as the horrible, rotten, lousy, no good, Super Tuesday is just days away!
