With just a week-and-a-half until National Signing Day, the University of Georgia is expected to have one of the nation’s best football recruiting classes.

But, according to a couple of college recruiting experts, the Bulldogs will be only middle-of-the-pack in the SEC.

Scout.com and Rivals.com both ranked six other SEC programs ahead of Georgia. Both outlets list 17 UGA commitments so far.

National Signing Day, the first day most high school football players can sign a college scholarship, is Feb. 5.

Scout.com ranks Georgia’s recruiting class 13th in the nation, behind SEC foes: Alabama (1st), Tennessee (2nd), Texas A&M (6th), LSU (8th), Auburn (9th) and Florida (11th).

Scout ranks only one Georgia commitment as a 5-star player — running back Sony Michel (Plantation, Fla.) — but 11 are 4-stars. Check out Scout’s list of Georgia commitments here.

Rivals.com has Georgia ranked No. 11. Other SEC schools ahead: Alabama (1st), Tennessee (3rd), Texas A&M (5th), LSU (6th), Auburn (7th), and Florida (8th). Michel also is a 5-star recruit in Rivals’ list of Georgia commitments.

Scout has none of Tech’s commitments ranked as a 5- or 4-star player. See Scout’s list Georgia Tech commitments here.

Rivals.com, which like Scout has the Jackets with 19 commitments, has Georgia Tech ranked No. 46. Other ACC schools ahead: Florida State (4th), Miami-FLA (9th), Clemson (12th), North Carolina (19th), Virginia Tech (20th), (12th), N.C. State (26th), Pittsburgh, (36th), Boston College (37th), Virginia (40th).
