We know who'll be playing. But the real question now is: Will a winter storm disrupt the 2014 Super Bowl?

The early line -- snow is "possible" for East Rutherford, N.J., on game day (Sunday, Feb. 2), according to a website forecast.

Accuweather.com has an extended forecast for game day, and it calls for a high of 36 degrees and a nighttime low of 30 on Super Sunday, with "snow showers possible." Kickoff is scheduled for 6:25 p.m. -- after the forecast sunset.

The game is being billed as the "first outdoor, cold weather Super Bowl." According to wikipedia.org, the NFL title game twice has been played in Pontiac, Mich., and once in Indianapolis -- in domed stadiums. MetLife Stadium, site of this year's game, is open-air.

The NFL is prepared for the possibility of severe weather on Super Bowl Sunday. It has scenarios in which the game could be shifted ahead or back, depending on conditions.

According to Frank Supovitz, NFL Senior Vice President for Events: “There are contingency plans for multiple different days. There is the potential of a move-up scenario, there is the potential of a move-back scenario, depending on what we are seeing coming. It could potentially be on a Saturday or it could be on the Monday or Tuesday."
