5 Things Dacula Residents Need to Know This Week

A quick look at the week ahead.

Here are five things to know for the upcoming week:

1. This Friday and Saturday, the Mill Creek High School Theater will present "Flowers for Algernon." Tickets are $5 online, $7 at the gate. Click here for more information.

2. The application period begins for those parties interested in becoming the City of Dacula's liquor store licensee. Those interested must apply by the Jan. 22 deadline.

3. Have an unused coat in your closet? Dacula Kroger stores are collecting gently used coats to donate to the United Way and Atlanta Mission. The Dacula Kroger is located at 505 Dacula Road. The Hog Mountain Kroger is located at 2700 Braselton Highway. The coat collection drive ends Jan. 19.

4. The Dacula Library and Hamilton Mill Library host numerous fun and educational events throughout the year. This week, there are several special programs scheduled including toddler story time and doggie tales. Be sure to visit our wonderful libraries and take advantage of the great programs they offer. Check out the Gwinnett County Public Library calendar for full event listings.

5. Parents of girls ages 4 through 12th grade may be interested in taking a look at the Miss Mountain View Pageant program. The program is the main fundraiser for the Mountain View High School PTSA and focuses on inner beauty, character and confidence. The registration deadline for this year's pageant is Jan. 31.

Be sure to check the Dacula Patch event calendar for more events. Have an event you would like added to the calendar? Click here to post it.
