Unemployment remains high, the stock market has plunged and the debt crisis continues. Will the economy get worse before it gets better?

Last week, the . July marked the 48th consecutive month that Georgia’s unemployment rate has exceeded the national average -- a rate that is currently 9.1 percent.

With continued high unemployment, the lowering of the United States credit rating, and a major stock market slump, some financial experts are warning of a double dip recession.
