Bob the Turkey, an idol of Downtown Woodstock since he made his home outside of the Serenade Subdivision in 2011, was laid to rest this week. Members from the  buried Bob by the brick Welcome to Olde Towne Woodstock sign on Main Street.

Bob was . Bob will have a brick as a place marker that reads, "Bob the Turkey 2012" for those who loved Woodstock's unofficial mascot to walk by and remember him.

A 33-year-old Paulding County man is dead after being affected by a medical condition which caused him to crash on I-20 Wednesday.

The investigating trooper's report indicated that the driver suffered from a medical condition that caused the death and not injuries sustained from the crash, according to an email from Franka Young, Georgia State Patrol, Public Information Office.

There were no other vehicles involved in the crash. And no passengers were in the vehicle.

The vehicle left the road and overturned.

MetroAtlanta Ambulance has a new look for 2012. Twelve new Mercedes Sprinter vans have been introduced to .

"We are replacing our fleet, and the Mercedes Sprinter Van was chosen for several reasons including the state-of-the-art technology and safety features incorporated into the design as well as performance of the vehicle," MetroAtlanta’s Fleet Manager Ed Long said in a press release.

The safety systems on the Mercedes Sprinter, which include acceleration skid control, anti-lock braking and stability control, make it very safe to drive, according to the release.
