Around the Region: Deputy Accused of Posing With Porn Star, Church Volunteer Charged With Molestation and Cops Seize $11.2 Million in Cocaine, Meth

Thaddeus Lloyd, a deputy with WCSO, has been suspended pending an investigation into a racy photo that showed up on social media sites years after being taken. The picture reportedly shows Lloyd, in uniform, next to a patrol cruiser with his hands on the buttocks of a naked woman.

The information surfaced during an Channel 2 News Special on several instances of "Cops Gone Wild." Lloyd told Channel 2 he and another Clarkston police officer were off duty when they posed for the picture with "some porn star." The picture was reportedly found on a illegal cell phone confiscated from an inmate.

Lloyd was reportedly suspended last week when the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council informed WCSO that an investigation had been initiated.

– Kennesaw Patch

A 25-year-old  youth volunteer has been arrested and charged with molesting at least one juvenile during a church lock-in.

The  and Acworth police departments are investigating multiple charges of child molestation against Cesar Pastrana of Spangle Circle in Kennesaw.

Cobb police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said that on Friday, Feb. 3, and Saturday, Feb. 4, the Kennesaw church held a youth lock-in called "Thrive," and Pastrana allegedly molested a juvenile at a private Cobb County residence.

Jail records show Pastrana was arrested Friday afternoon and is being held without bond at the  on charges of child molestation, aggravated child molestation and sexual battery.

 

– Duluth Patch

The Gwinnett Sheriff’s Department and Georgia State Patrol seized 120 kilograms of cocaine and 380 pounds of methamphetamine valued at $11.2 million stored in a warehouse in unincorporated Duluth on Feb. 13.

Lt. Sean Smith, acting public information officer for the Sheriff’s Department, reported Tuesday that the drugs were discovered while deputies were serving a search warrant. The cocaine reportedly has an approximate street value of $3.6 million, and the meth has an approximate street value of $7.6 million.

Jose Romero, Epifanio Sandoval and Luis Pacheco-Vasques were arrested on charges of trafficking in cocaine and methamphetamine, Smith reported. They were taken into custody at the scene and were being held at the Gwinnett County Jail without bail, he said.
