Around the Region: Intoxicated Woman Struck by Train, Teen Charged in Crash and Tebowmania Coming to Gwinnett

A woman who was hit by a train was responsive and walking following the incident on Carter Street near Railroad Street,  Lt. Mark Camp said in an email.

About 6:19 p.m., the woman and a man were near the railroad tracks, and she was hit by the train as it passed. Camp said the pair were intoxicated.

Police found the woman, who apparently left the scene after sustaining a laceration to her head, at North Erwin and Carter streets. She was treated by emergency medical crews and taken to  with an injury not expected to be life threatening.

– East Cobb Patch

An East Cobb teenager turned herself in Monday night to face serious charges from a rollover crash in Marietta in September.

Hannah Caitlin O’Donnell, 19, of the 1200 block of Manor Crest Court, is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond, according to jail records.

O’Donnell was driving a white 2006 Nissan 350ZConnector the night of Sept. 21. One passenger was seriously injured.

 

– Suwanee Patch

NFL quarterback Tim Tebow will appear at 12Stone Church's Lawrenceville campus on May 2. The event is begin organized by EQUIP Leadership, which is based in Suwanee.

Tebow's appearance is billed as "An Appearance With John C. Maxwell and Tim Tebow." Maxwell is an evangelical Christian author, according to Wikipedia.org. He is a Florida resident.
