Suspect Uses Air Filter As Cover Up in Bank Robbery

Authorities are looking for a man suspected of robbing a bank in South Forsyth County Monday morning after he approached a bank employee and asked for the money in the vault.

The suspect, who attempted to shield his face using an air filter, did not produce a weapon during the robbery.

The robbery occurred around 10:10 a.m. at Best Bank located inside of the Kroger at 2325 Bethelview Road. The suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

Naked Burglary Suspect Hid in Attic

A naked Loganville man and a barely dressed accomplice were arrested after attempting to hide by burying themselves in attic insulation.

Police initially encountered Dane McNeil Hucks of 403 Village Way, Loganville, and another suspect, Jennifer Collins Osborne of Lilburn, near the scene of a burglary on Tara Commons Drive. Both denied having any knowledge of the burglary, but an investigation eventually led officers to Hucks’ home.

Officers found Hucks completely naked and hiding in the attic of his home. Hucks said he stripped down because it was hot. Another suspect, Kristopher Samuel Sorrels, was also found hiding in the insulation, but was at least wearing undershorts when officers found him. Hucks, Sorrels and Osborne are facing a variety of charges.

Winder Police Find Woman Bleeding in Parking Lot

On Oct. 6, 2011, an officer with the was dispatched to the Holly Hill Shopping Center parking lot to look for a female who was involved in an earlier domestic incident.

Upon arrival, the officer located the woman, whose arms were cut and bleeding. The woman said about an hour earlier her husband had hit her in the face at his parents’ home. Emergency personnel arrived and cleaned the blood from the woman’s arms. According to the incident report, once the blood was removed it was evident the cuts were self-inflicted and the officer was unable to identify any other visible marks or bruising. A witness to the domestic dispute said the altercation was not physical.
