Barrow County Has Opening for Equipment Operator

Job title: Equipment operator II 
Employer: Barrow County government
Job description: Performs skilled work in support of the operations of the roads and bridges department. Work involves handling the responsibility for operating a variety of heavy equipment to construct and maintain county roads, bridges and drainage systems, ensuring roadways are safe and clear of any debris for residents to drive on them, cutting the sides of the roads to keep them well manicured and repairing and maintaining any equipment.
Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by two to three years of experience in public works maintenance operations and/or heavy equipment operation or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must possess a valid state CDL driver’s license.
