Car Break-Ins, New Principals and Lottery Tickets

A look at a few of the most notable stories this week on Dacula Patch.

I wish this story was about a twenty one year old that had a rash instead of one that is involved in a string of Flowery Branch vehicle thefts. Hopefully this young man will learn from his mistakes and choose a better path next time.

It's almost that time of year again and Freeman's Mill Elementary and Archer High school along with 19 other Gwinnett County schools will begin the year with new principals. Patch joins the rest of the community in welcoming Principal Angie Pacholke and Principal Ken Johnson to our local force.

GGC is hiring for four positions that had Dacula Patch readers talking this week. Listed positions included residence director, project coordinator, student center coordinator and associate director of housing operations. Apparently July 16 was a busy evening for someone as there were seven cars broken into in three Dacula area subdivisions. When reading this article I couldn't help but notice that a number of these cars were left unlocked. If you aren't sure how to avoid a car break-in you may benefit from .

Seeing how I never win anything Monday's question of the day got me thinking about lottery tickets. My answer to this one is probably not, I think part of the fun of trying to win is jumping in your car the night before the drawing, rushing to the local convenience store and buying a ticket all the while smiling at the others around and thinking, my ticket is going to be the winner, not yours.
