Cell Phone Stolen at Vacation Bible School

Victim left phone on her Bible while she played with friends and when she returned, the phone was missing.

“Thou shalt not steal.”

An unknown suspect failed to honor that Biblical commandment during a June 13 session of Vacation Bible School at in Dacula.

A Bible school participant left her phone on her Bible while she played with friends after Bible school ended. When the girl’s mother arrived to take her home, the girl realized her phone was missing. The girl and her mother looked for the phone and talked to several people about the missing phone, but were unable to locate it.

According to the police report, the victim’s parents had installed an application on the phone to lock it against unauthorized use and to track it in the event of theft. The victim’s father told police the application indicated the cell phone was in the vicinity of Pine Valley Drive and Pine Valley Circle in Lawrenceville. The father was unable to provide an exact address.

The case is listed as active.
