Dacula Celebrates Memorial Day

Parade and festival honors veterans and those who gave all.

Area residents lined the streets of Dacula today for the city's 18th annual Memorial Day parade.

Former 7th Congressional District candidate Col. Doug Heckman and served as parade grand marshals. Other parade participants include , the marching band, , the Georgia Gwinnett College ROTC, , numerous Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops as well as a host of local politicians, businesses and civic organizations.

Not to be critical, but Congressman Rob Woodall was also a participant in the parade and walked the entire route.

Congressman Woodall was also present at the Memorial Day ceremony held at the Gwinnett Fallen Heroes Memorial this afternoon.

Kristi- I really wasn't being critical, just noticed that he wasn't mentioned in the text above. Also,- keep up the great work. I think you do an excellent job covering Dacula news.
