Dacula Church News: Cancer Support, Choral Concert and BBQ

A look at local church events scheduled during the upcoming week.

Monday, April 11

offers a support group for all who have been affected by cancer.  This group meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7 p.m.

Are you dealing with life's habit, hurts, or hang ups?  Join Celebrate Recovery at Hebron Baptist Church on Monday nights.  Dinner is served at 6 p.m. in the Chapel wings ($3 for adults, $1 children), large group meets in Chapel at 6:30 p.m. and then small groups at 7:30 p.m.

Small groups are available for Obessive Compulsive Disorders, Alcohol Addictions, Adult Children of Alcoholics, Sexual Addictions, Chemical Dependency, Survivors of Physical, Sexual, Emotional Abuse, Eating Disorders, Depression, Unforgiveness, Freedom from Anger, Co-dependency, Dealing with Past/Present Guilt and Shame.

Teens may choose to attend "The Landing" a teen version of Celebrate Recovery.

"Precovery Group" is for elementary age children whose families are going through crisis.

"Hope- Helping Other Parents Endure"  this is a group for parents who are dealing with problems with teenage or adult children.

 

Wednesday, April 12

Community members are invited to attend an evening of music performed by the Dacula Cluster schools.  Performance will take place at Hebron Baptist Church. 7:30 p.m.

Friday, April 14

Alcoholics Anonymous groups meet on Fridays at 8 p.m. at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church in Modular A-5.  This is a group for men and women and there are no fees to join or attend.  Visit the church website here to learn how to contact the group.

  • Narcotics Anonymous

Narcotics Anonymous groups meet on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church in Modular A-2/4.  This is a group for men and women and there are no fees to join or attend.  Membership in NA is open to all drug addicts, regardless of the particular drug or combination of drugs used.

 

Saturday, April 16

The men of Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church will host a BBQ from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

BBQ plates include pulled pork, baked beans, slaw and bread and are available for $8.  A container of Brunswick Stew is $5.
