Job Opening: Sign language interpreter

School Information: Gwinnett Technical College is located at 5150 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville and is a short drive from the heart of Dacula. Gwinnett Tech offers over 45 associate degree, diploma and certificate programs and hundreds of seminars and workshops to the community.

Job Description: The position of sign language interpreter is a part-time, non-benefited position. This employee will provide interpreting/transliterating services for deaf or hard of hearing students. The interpreter will also meet and plan with the coordinator of interpreters to prepare for various assignments within the college.

Job Qualifications: Applicants should have two years of related work experience and demonstrate the ability to interpret and translate college-level work. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to follow directions carefully and be computer literate. Individuals holding as Associate's degree or equivalent education will be given preference as well as those who hold a State or National Interpreting Certification.
