Job Opening: Emergency management specialist

Job Description: If hired to this full-time position, employee will be responsible for serving as the lead on multi-jurisdictional emergency planning. This specialist must be available for disaster response and resource coordination when needed. Employee will coordinate activities in the area of emergency preparedness, planning, mitigation, response and recovery. This is a safety sensitive job that requires pre-employment screening. Salary range is approximately $47,000 annually.

Job Qualifications: Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree with work in public administration, emergency management and have two years of related emergency management experience. Applicants should be 21 years of age with a valid Georgia driver's license. If hired employees must become a State of Georgia Certified Emergency Manager within eighteen months.
