Job Opening: Maintenance specialist I

Company Information: The City of Auburn is located a short distance from Dacula in Barrow County.

Job Description: A maintenance specialist I will work in the Public Works Department for the City of Auburn. This employee will perform various tasks involved with the maintenance and repair of all city property and systems. Tasks will include operating light equipment and vehicles needed for jobs, repairing roads and right-of-ways, loading trucks, spreading gravel and patching potholes. Other duties may include meter reading, repairing water lines, replacing road signs, cutting and removing trees or debris. Some landscaping jobs may be required as well such as mowing, weed-eating, edging, trimming, spraying and planting in the City of Auburn.

Job Qualifications: Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED. Applicants should have previous training or experience to assist them in completing the jobs. A valid Georgia driver's license is needed.
