Draft TSPLOST List Approved

Atlanta Regional Transportation Roundtable executive committee reaches agreement on $6.14 billion list of transportation projects.

The executive committee of the Atlanta Regional Transportation Roundtable voted unanimously today to approve a $6.14 billion draft list of transportation projects to be funded by a .

“Today, the Roundtable Executive Committee worked tirelessly to craft a constrained list of priority projects that represent tremendous benefits to the entire region,” said Norcross mayor, Bucky Johnson, chairman of the Roundtable executive committee in a released statement. “We had representatives from all the major jurisdictions in the Atlanta region rolling up their sleeves to help the Executive Committee select projects with the greatest impact. By working creatively and cooperatively, we approved a constrained list of investments today that can usher in a new era of transportation possibilities for our residents.”

The draft list must now be approved by the full 21-member Roundtable by Oct. 15 before the list is submitted to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Public meetings are planned in all 10 counties of the Atlanta region (Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry and Rockdale) to allow the public an opportunity to provide input regarding the list. The Gwinnett meeting is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 26 at 5 p.m. at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville.
