Fraud Warning, Constituent Service Day and the Storm That Wasn’t

A look at a few of the most notable stories this week on Dacula Patch.

Zaxby's Warns Customers of Potential Security Breach at Dacula Store

I am a big fan of Zaxby’s. I know the chicken finger plate is horrible for me, but it is so good! Needless to say, I go there quite often and I always use my credit card (and my Hawks card). If you are a Zaxby’s fan like I am and have used your credit card there, be sure to keep a close eye on your statements. Zaxby’s has identified a potential security breach in which credit and debit card data may have been accessed. Frankly, it will take more than a fraudster to keep me from those chicken fingers and fries.

Have you ever thought about visiting a Dacula business, but just weren’t sure if you wanted to risk your money on what might be a bad product or service? I think we all prefer to have a little knowledge beforehand from friends or neighbors. You can get just that in our Dacula Patch business directory. Click on the link above to read some of the recent reviews of Dacula businesses and be sure to visit our directory to let us know about your favorite local shops and restaurants.

Taste of Dacula' Scheduled for Jan. 26

I know I mention this a lot, but I really want everyone to know how easy it is to let the community know about your special event or fundraiser or meeting or anything else on Dacula Patch. The site is designed to make it easy for anyone to post news or events. If you are not sure how to do it, just visit the FAQs on the home page. The news about the upcoming Taste of Dacula (Jan. 26 – don’t miss it) is just one of the items recently posted by Patch readers.

Broun’s Staff to Host Constituent Service Day in Dacula on Jan. 23

Our new congressman’s staff will be in town this week for a “constituent service day.” If you have a question or concern and would like Rep. Broun’s assistance, stop by Dacula City Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 23.

Well, we didn’t get any snow, but we did get up-to-the minute coverage from our resident weather expert Steve Brueck. Thanks to Steve for keeping us posted on the changing conditions. Also, be sure to check out the Dacula Patch weather page for the latest weather-related news and blogs.

Be sure to check in during the week for the latest news and don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for updates throughout the day. You can also get the latest news in your inbox with our free daily email newsletter.  Have a great week and thanks for reading Dacula Patch.
