“We hope this suspension of major construction work will allow motorists to get to and from their holiday destinations with less congestion and less aggravation,” stated Bayne Smith, Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) District Engineer, in a press release.

All construction-related lane closures will be suspended beginning at 5 a.m. on Friday, May 25 and continuing until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29.
