GRTA to Hold Public Hearing on Xpress Service

Officials will discuss new routes from Hamilton Mill and Dacula.

The Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA) will host a public hearing on Tuesday, May 10, to discuss changes to the Xpress Regional Commuter Service affecting the northern portions of Gwinnett County including Dacula.

The meeting will be held at the Discover Mills Xpress Park and Ride from 4:15 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. (or until after the last coach arrives). The purpose of the meeting is to review the new routes and route changes and obtain input from the public.

Two routes will leave from the , which is located at 3220 Sardis Church Road next to Walmart. Route 413 to downtown will have six morning departure times and a total of seven afternoon and evening departure times. Route 411 to midtown, which currently begins at the Mall of Georgia, will start at the Hamilton Mill lot and include a stop at the Mall of Georgia.

GRTA officials are also considering an additional route for the Hamilton Mill park and ride. Route 413P would take commuters to Discover Mills and the Perimeter Center.

Commuters using the adjacent to Hebron Baptist Church, will be able to take route 416 to downtown. According to the latest information available from GRTA, the route will offer six morning departure times and seven return trips.
