“We know shoppers are watching every penny this season, so we’re sharing our Black Friday specials early this year so they can plan ahead and deliver a wonderful Christmas for their families,” said Duncan Mac Naughton, chief merchandising officer of Walmart U.S., in a released statement.

In addition, Walmart is also hoping to draw shoppers with its “Christmas Price Guarantee.” If a customer purchases an eligible product at Walmart between Nov. 1 and Dec. 25 and then finds the item at a lower price elsewhere, Walmart will give the customer a gift card for the difference. Items must be the same brand, size, color, quantity, grade and model number. The item must also be available at a competitor’s store in the same local market as the Walmart.

Customers who use the Walmart Credit Card will also receive a special holiday deal. Walmart will not charge interest for card balances paid in full within six months for all purchases made at Walmart or on Walmart.com during November and December.

For those who enjoy shopping online, nearly 95 percent of Walmart.com products are eligible for free shipping via site to store, in store pickup, and FedEx site to store. Certain items over $45 are available with free shipping direct to the customer’s home.

Walmart is also offering a Christmas layaway program through Dec. 16 and has extended their gas rollback program through Dec. 24 to give customers a $0.10 discount on each gallon of gas or diesel fuel purchased at participating Murphy USA or Walmart stations.

Home Depot customers who exchange old working or non-working Christmas lights will receive a coupon for discounts on energy efficient seasonal light-emitting diodes (LED) string lights.

Customers can exchange their old lights for a $3 off coupon towards the purchase of Home Accents Holiday string lights, a $4 off coupon towards the purchase of Martha Stewart Living or GE LED string lights or a $5 off coupon towards the purchase of EcoSmart or Lightshow LED lights.

Purchases must be made before Nov. 13. Customers are limited to five redemptions.
