Hoschton Convenience Store Sells Winning Lottery Ticket

Buford man to split $115,000 Fantasy 5 prize with friend.

A Buford man and his friend credit “male intuition” for leading them to purchase a winning Fantasy 5 lottery ticket at a Hoschton convenience store.

Thomas Hinton of Buford and his friend Angelo Fanelli purchased the winning ticket at Jack’s, 1929 Highway 211 in Hoschton. The two friends will split the $115,000 jackpot.

“I bought it with my buddy, and we decided to do it,” Hinton said according to a press release from the Georgia Lottery Corporation. “It was intuition … male intuition that was working that day. Maybe it was premonition.”

Hinton plans to use a portion of his winnings to make a down payment on a new home. Fanelli said he intends to pay bills with his prize.
