It Was a Dark and Stormy Night ...

A line of heavy storms moved through the Dacula area early Sunday morning.

A line of severe storms kept Gwinnett County firefighters busy during the early morning hours of May 19.

In an email to media outlets, Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services public information officer Capt. Tommy Rutledge indicated fire officials began monitoring the weather and increasing call volume at about 3 a.m.

Numerous house fires and accidents were reported. Fire crews enroute to a call also discovered a tree down on I-85 near Buford Drive.
