Guilty Verdict in Jack Boys Gang Trial – East Atlanta Patch

A Fulton County jury returned guilty verdicts against three members of the local ‘Jack Boys’ gang, whose reign of terror included the rape of a Grant Park woman and the murder of a Virginia-Highland man.

Tamario Wise, the 19-year-old gang leader; Robert Veal, 18; and Fernandez Whatley, 21, faced a slew of crimes in a 90-count indictment including murder, armed robbery, rape, aggravated assault, kidnapping and participating in gang activity.

Kennesaw State Suspends Fraternity Over Hazing Accusations – Kennesaw Patch

Kennesaw State University has suspended one of its fraternities for two and a half years after a student in September reported incidents of alleged hazing.

According to a story in the KSU Sentinel, the university's newspaper, the alleged incidents of "servitude, alcohol consumption and sleep deprivation" involved the 37-member Kennesaw Chapter of Delta Chi International Fraternity, which has appealed the suspension.

Martha Stewart to Visit Buckhead Home Depot – Buckhead Patch

The Home Depot in Buckhead will host a free interactive décor workshop this month featuring Martha Stewart.

Stewart will visit the Buckhead store on Piedmont Road on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Savannah Man Killed in Police Pursuit – Fort Stewart Patch

A Savannah man was killed Monday night in Wayne County when he was involved in a car crash while fleeing from police. A Jesup, Ga., police officer was also injured in the crash.
