Paden Janney, a senior at Mill Creek High School, is one of the most active of her class. As the oldest of three, she has always had much responsibility in her family. Thus, she learned the skills to be able to juggle her academic, service, and athletic life.

"I have always been involved in many activities inside and outside of school, simply because I love people and I love to help. I have been on the Lead Team at my church, Northview, for four wonderful years," Janney said. "During my time at Northview, I also had the wonderful opportunity to go on a mission trip in Guatemala for my spring break sophomore year. I had an amazing time and met the most wonderful, loving people in the world."

Aside from church, Janney cheers for both Mill Creek's Varsity football and basketball team.

"I have cheered for eight years and loved every minute," she said.

Janney has also served as the president of the Student Government Association for both middle school and high school, gone on two blessed trips with People to People, and has been a member of BETA club, National Honors Society (NHS), Fellowship for Christian Athletes (FCA), Student Athlete Leadership Team (SALT), Cheerleading Leadership Committee, French club, Video Broadcast Journalism and Relay for Life.

In her free time, Janney expresses herself with art. She sings for her church, draws, reads often and loves go on long walks with her dog. She also babysits for many area families.

Next autumn, Janney plans to attend the University of Georgia where she will pursue a career in journalism.

Janney adds, "I am not sure if my dreams will come true today, but that does not stop me from enjoying my life each and every day."
