Meet Dacula Patch Blogger Amy Jackson

Do you read the blogs on your local Patch? Blogging is fun, easy, free and open to everyone. In May, we are going to take some time to get to know our local bloggers. This week we are featuring Amy Jackson, whose blogs may be found on Dacula Patch.

blogs about “Jail Dogs in 1C” on Dacula Patch. This is a documentary web series she has been producing to increase awareness about the Jail Dogs program at the Gwinnett Detention Center. Jackson posts videos to encourage adoption of the Jail Dogs so that even more dogs may be saved.

In an email interview Jackson stated, “Ever since I was a child I have felt very passionate about helping animals and making movies that matter. Having a blog on Patch is another way to share pictures, stories and videos.”

Jackson studied film production at UCLA and Los Angeles City College and she currently owns and operates her own company Karmalized Pictures. Jackson specializes in shooting documentary style video and has worked on feature films in Hollywood and Atlanta.
