Post Photos, Notes and Blog Updates From Your iPhone With the New Patch App

Patch is pleased to introduce our new mobile app which makes sharing your news with the community even easier.

With the new Patch mobile app, Dacula Patch users can do much more than just read news and browse event listings. Our new app gives you the ability to post photos, notes or blog updates anytime, anywhere from your mobile device.

Have some news you want to share with the community? Just look for the "+" sign at the bottom of your mobile app screen. When you tap the button, you'll have the option to post a note (a short message), an article (a longer message or blog*) or a photo.

To post a note, tap the "+" button, select "note," type a brief message into the "What's shakin'?" box, click on the camera icon to add a photo and then touch the "post to" menu bar to select the message board or blog on which you want your note to appear.

To post a longer article or a blog, tap the "+" button, select "article," type in a title, type your message in the "What do you want to say?" box, click on the camera icon to add a photo and then touch the "post to" menu to select the message board or blog on which you want your article to appear.

Have an interesting photo you want to share? Touch the "+" button and select "photo." You'll have the option to take a photo or select one from your camera roll. After you have taken your photo or chosen one from your camera roll, you can add a caption and then touch the "post to" menu to select the message board or blog on which you want your photo to appear.

For users who currently have the Patch Classic app installed, you will see a reminder to install the updated version of our app on the Patch icon. To install the app for the first time, visit the iTunes page

*The option to post to a blog will only appear to those Dacula Patch users who have created a blog, which is simply your own section of Dacula Patch on which any blog posts you make will appear. Click here to create your Dacula Patch blog.
