Road Work Ahead

For March 26-April 1.

• Alcovy Road from Alcovy Springs Drive to Sweetgum Road will require intermittent lane closures through December 2011 for roadway improvements associated with Sugarloaf Parkway extension, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Alcovy Road from Campbell Road to West Drowning Creek Road will require intermittent lane closures through December 2012 for roadway improvements associated with Sugarloaf Parkway extension, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Arcado Road from Cedar Road to Acadia Industrial Circle will require intermittent lane closures through June 2011 for roadway improvements and bridge replacement, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Beaver Road from McCullers Road to Thompson Drive will require intermittent lane closures through April 2011 for Lower Big Haynes sewer improvements, weather permitting.  Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.   For further information contact the Department of Water Resources at 678-376-7122. 
• Bramlett Shoals Road from Brooks Road to Bramlett Shoals Road Connector will require intermittent lane closures through December 2011 for roadway improvements associated with Sugarloaf Parkway extension, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Briscoe Road from Hoke O’Kelly Mill Road to Ozora Road will require intermittent lane closures through April 2011 for Lower Big Haynes sewer improvements, weather permitting.  Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.   For further information contact the Department of Water Resources at 678-376-7122.
• Bush Road from Summertree Court to Lou Ivy Road will require intermittent lane closures through July 2011 for sidewalk improvements, weather permitting. Any such lane closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Callie Still Road from Tribble Mill Road to New Hope Road will require intermittent lane closures through April 2011 for Lower Big Haynes sewer improvements, weather permitting.  Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.   For further information contact the Department of Water Resources at 678-376-7122. 
• Cambridge Street from US78/West Main Street to Sussex Court will require intermittent lane closures and traffic shifts through March 2012 for re-alignment of Cambridge Street with McGee Road, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Campbell Road West from Campbell Road to Alcovy Road will require intermittent lane closures through December 2011 for roadway improvements associated with Sugarloaf Parkway extension, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Centerville-Rosebud Road from Lenora Church Road to Lake Port Drive will require intermittent lane closures through June 2011 for roadway improvements and alignment, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Cole Drive from Casa Loma to Emily Drive will close on April 4 for one week for drainage improvements, weather permitting.   The detour route will be Cole Drive to Miller Road to Garner Road to Lilburn Stone Mountain Road and the reverse.  For further information contact the Department of Water Resources at 678-376-7130.
• Pleasant Hill Road Eastbound past Cruse Road will close two outside lanes Monday night, through March 18 until complete to repair and replace damaged truck line, weather permitting.  Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Five Forks Trickum Road from Ashton Lane to Oxford Hall Drive will require intermittent lane closures through August 2011 for roadway widening and improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Five Forks Trickum from Cole Drive to Spring Mill Drive will require intermittent lane closures through May 2011 for roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Hamilton Mill Road at Camp Branch Road will require intermittent lane closures through May 2011 for intersection improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Hog Mountain Road at Pine Road will require intermittent lane closures through August 2011 for pedestrian improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

• Hill Street from US78/Athens Highway to Oak Grove Road will close on March 21, 2011 for one week for roadway improvements, weather permitting.  The detour route will be Hill Street to US 78 to Skyland Drive to Oak Grove Road to Hill Street and the reverse. • Indian Trail - Lilburn Road from I-85 to Oakbrook Parkway will require intermittent lane closures through May 2011 for sidewalk and roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Indian Trail - Lilburn Road from Hillcrest Road to Burns Road will require intermittent lane closures through May 2011 for sidewalk improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Indian Trail Road from US 29/Lawrenceville Highway to Exchange Place will require intermittent lane closures, and traffic shifts through June 2011 for road widening, bridge replacement, and roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Ivy Church Road from Ivy Creek Road to SR 324/Gravel Springs Road will close on January 24 permanently.
• Jim Moore Road from Auburn Road/SR 324 to Hamilton Mill Parkway will require intermittent lane closures through July 2011 for pedestrian improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Killian Hill Road from US 29/Lawrenceville Highway to Church Street will require intermittent lane closures, and traffic shifts through June 2011 for road widening and improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Lake View Drive in Rhodes Jordan Park from Lake Road to Benson Street will close June 1, 2010 through August 2011. Access to the Lawrenceville Senior Center in Rhodes Jordan Park is by way of Benson Street. All other areas of Rhodes Jordan Park are accessible by way of the main entrance to the park on Crogan Street. For further information contact the Department of Community Services at 770-822-8869.
• Little Mill Road from Peachtree Industrial Boulevard to Wilbanks Street will be closed beginning on or about December 1, 2010 through March 31, 2011 for safety realignment.  For further information contact the City of Buford at 770-945-6761.
• Martins Chapel Road from Bramlett Shoals Road to Bramlett Shoals Connector will require intermittent lane closures through December 2011 for roadway improvements associated with Sugarloaf Parkway extension, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• McGee Road at US78/West Main Street will require intermittent lane closures through March 2012 for re-alignment of Cambridge Street with McGee Road, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Meadow Church Lane between Meadow Church Road and Old Peachtree Road is permanently closed.
• New Hope Road at  Luke Edwards Road will require intermittent lane closures and traffic shifts through August 2011  for intersection improvements, weather permitting. On March 15, 2011, a temporary multi-way stop will be installed at this intersection. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• North Berkeley Lake Road from River District Drive to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard will require intermittent lane closures through May 2011 for sidewalk improvements, weather permitting.   Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Northolt Parkway in Suwanee will be closed through the end of March for roadway improvements associated with the McGinnis Ferry Road Extension, weather permitting.  The detour will be Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road to Satellite Boulevard to Burnette Road, and the reverse.
• Oak Grove Road from Hill Street to Hoke O'Kelly Mill Road will require intermittent lane closures through April 2011 for Lower Big Haynes sewer improvements, weather permitting.  Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.   For further information contact the Department of Water Resources at 678-376-7122.

• Patterson Road from Geyser Trace to Patterson Park Drive will require intermittent lane closures and traffic shifts through July 2011 for vertical alignment roadway improvements and a new bridge, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Peachtree Industrial Boulevard at SR120/Duluth Highway will require intermittent lane closures through May 2011 for roadway widening and improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Peachtree Industrial Boulevard from Medlock Bridge Road to Pinckneyville Park will require intermittent lane closures through May 2011 for multi-use path construction and roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Pine Road from Braselton Highway/SR 124 to Hog Mountain Road will require intermittent lane closures through August 2011 for pedestrian improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Pleasant Hill Road from Old Norcross Road to May Road/Sunset Road will require intermittent lane closures through April 2011 for roadway widening and improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Ridge Drive from Satellite Boulevard and Woodward Mill Road will close until further notice.
• Russell Road from Calvin Davis Circle to Buford Drive/SR 20 will require intermittent lane closures through April 2011 for roadway widening and improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
•  Sardis Church Road at Tuggle Road will require intermittent lane closures through May 2011 for roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• South Harris Street from the intersection of Buford Highway westerly 300 feet will permanently close.  For further information contact the City of Buford at 770-945-6761.
• South Rockbridge Road from Rockplace Court SW to Joel Court will require intermittent lane closures through August 2011 for roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Sugarloaf Parkway from Peachtree Industrial Boulevard to SR 20/Grayson Highway will require intermittent lane closures through April 2011 for ATMS improvements, weather permitting.  Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Temple Johnson Road from Skyland Drive to Preserve Creek Way will require intermittent lane closures through December 2011 for roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
•  Tribble Mill Road from Ozora Church Road to Callie Still Road will require intermittent lane closures through April 2011 for Lower Big Haynes sewer improvements, weather permitting.  Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. For further information contact the Department of Water Resources at 678-376-7122.
• SR 316/University Parkway from Boggs Road to Sugarloaf Parkway will require intermittent single lane closures and pacing through September 2012 for roadway widening and improvements, weather permitting. The daytime single lane closures and pacing will be between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Nighttime single lane closures will be from 9 p.m.  to 5 a.m., seven days a week.
• SR 316/University Parkway from Winder Highway to Harbins Road will require intermittent lane closures through December 2012 for roadway improvements associated with Sugarloaf Parkway extension, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
•  US 23/Buford Highway from Global Forum Boulevard to Sugarloaf Parkway will require intermittent lane closures through April 2011 for ATMS improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• US 29/Lawrenceville Highway from Wynne Russell Drive to Hillcrest Drive will require intermittent lane closures, and traffic shifts through June 2011 for road widening and improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• US 78/SR10/Stone Mountain Highway at McGee Road/Cambridge Street will require intermittent lane closures through March 2012 for intersection improvements, weather permitting. Any such lane closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• US 78/SR10/Stone Mountain Highway from Lake Lucerne to 500 feet east of Lake Lucerne will require intermittent lane closures through June 2011 for a Pedestrian Bridge installation over Yellow River, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• West Campbell Road closed permanently due to Sugarloaf Parkway extension.
• Winters Hill Drive will close on March 28 for one week for utility repairs. The detour route will be Winters Hill Drive to Winters Hill Court to Spalding Glen Drive to Winters Hill Drive and the reverse. For further information contact DeKalb County Public Works at 404-297-3840
