Hardware Store Burns to the Ground - Tucker Patch

A sudden and devastating fire on Friday evening completely destroyed the two-story building that only recently became the new home of Handy Ace Hardware, a long-time Tucker mainstay.

Fire crews were called shortly after 7 p.m. to 4365 Cowan Road and were still battling the fierce blaze two hours later. Onlookers watched as the large structure slowly collapsed amid raging flames, billowing smoke and multiple explosions caused by ammunition and combustible gases.

Man Killed While Trying to Escape From Gunman - Marietta Patch

Marietta Police are investigating a murder involving an ex-boyfriend and another man.

The investigation revealed that the suspect, Patrick Burr, used to date the female resident at 113 Griggs Street.  Burr arrived at the house and observed Arthur Moses Jr, 24 of Marietta and the female resident sitting in a car in the driveway of the house. 

Burr pulled out a pistol and began firing into the car, police said. Both occupants of the vehicle attempted to flee on foot, but Burr was able to fatally shoot Moses before he could escape, police said.

Reynoldstown Argument Leads to Multiple Stabbings - East Atlanta Patch

An argument between two men in Reynoldstown resulted in several stabbings and the arrest of the suspected stabber, Atlanta police said.

Luke Patrick O'Donovan, 19, is charged with five counts of aggravated assault, police said.
