Pizza Delivery Man Pursues Robbery Suspects – Stone Mountain-Redan Patch

When a delivery man was robbed by the people who called in an order for pizzas and chicken wings, he decided to take matters into his own hands and pursue the suspects to Redan Middle School, even after one of them brandished a gun.

According to the DeKalb County police report, the incident on Friday, Sept. 14 began when the employee from the Pizza Hut at 1130 S. Hairston Road in unincorporated Stone Mountain delivered $35 worth of take-out to a vacant home in unincorporated Lithonia.

The employee met the first suspect outside the front door and handed him the food. The suspect told the delivery man he was going to get the money, and instructed him to wait outside.

The delivery man walked to the front door and saw a second suspect standing near the rear door holding a handgun. A third suspect was holding a large wooden stick, and a fourth suspect was standing near the others, the report states.
