A look at a few of the most notable stories this week on Dacula Patch.

This story is so incredibly sad. These poor parents must be going through absolute hell right now. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

MVAA: 'We Have Started the Police Report Filing Process'

Find out what's happening in Daculawith free, real-time updates from Patch.

As of Friday afternoon, “We have started the police report filing process” still means no report has been filed. Obviously this is a difficult situation for the Mountain View Athletic Association. From what I understand, they have sought guidance and are trying to rectify the situation. Unconfirmed reports indicate tens of thousands of dollars may be missing from association coffers. I hope the association is able to recover the money and I truly feel sorry for the parents who have put time, money and effort into growing the association and are now faced with a serious financial loss.

A little advice for all car renters out there -- cars aren’t like library books. If you are late returning them, you may have to deal with more than a nominal fine. Seriously, I find it nearly impossible to believe a person could really think it was no big deal to keep a car past its return date. A car!! Unreal.

The Least Expensive Homes on the Market in Dacula: March 5

Want to guess which weekly article generates the most compliments and complaints? If you guessed restaurant inspections, you guessed right. Readers love it, some restaurant owners absolutely hate it. To those restaurant owners, all I can say is don’t waste time blaming the messenger, go have a talk with your staff and do better next time.
