Treetop Quest Opens in Buford

Eco-friendly canopy adventure exhibit takes visitors up into trees to learn about local flora, fauna, insects, and wildlife.

An exciting Treetop Quest Canopy Adventure activity opened Labor Day weekend at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center in Buford. The new exhibit allows visitors to blend environmental education and recreation by taking them up into the tree canopy to learn about local flora, fauna, insects, and wildlife.

The Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center Foundation, in partnership with the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise Rhone-Alps International, and Treetop Quest Inc., a French company specializing in outdoor education and recreation, is presenting the exhibit.

The exhibit officially opened to the public Saturday, Sept. 3, and is available for tours on weekends through October. Hours during September are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The last ticket is sold at 5 p.m. General admission prices range from $19 for one hour for children ages 4-6 to $45 for 2.5 hours for adults 18 and above. Visitors are advised to wear cool clothing and closed-toe shoes.
