Election Day

Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.

City of Dacula residents have only one issue to decide - a referendum on whether or not to allow Sunday sales of packaged distilled spirits. Dacula Mayor Jimmy Wilbanks, Councilman Gregory Reeves and Councilman Wendell Holcombe qualified with no opposition.

Before Gwinnett County voters is the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax referendum. The three-year tax would generate an estimated $498 million to be used for transportation, public safety, parks and other projects.

Also on the ballot for Dacula area voters is the special election for State House 104. Teresa CantrellChuck EfstrationTim Puckett and Todd Tyson are seeking to fill the seat vacated by Donna Sheldon.

On election day, Tuesday, Nov. 5, voters will go to their regular polling place. Election day voting hours are 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
