NATIONAL PITBULL AWARENESS DAY 2013

National Pit Bull Awareness Day (NPBAD) is a day of appreciation and
education designed to change perceptions and stereotypes about pitbulls
and their responsible owners. NPBAD was established to educate and
foster positive communications and experiences in the communities in
which we and our dogs live, and it is an initiative dedicated to
restoring the image of all bully breeds. The ultimate goal of NPBAD is
to promote the truth about pitbulls. Knowledge is power, and with
education and advocacy, the truth will save lives in terms of negating
the fear and bias generated by the media, circumvent knee-jerk reactions such as breed bans, and the truth will result in fewer pit bulls ending

up in animal shelters. This event is meant to provide our community
with the opportunity to see for themselves how loving these dogs can be
when raised by responsible owners. A dog will become what he or she is
raised and trained to be!

On Saturday, October 26th, 2013, there will be an event at Rabbit Hill

Dog Park (Gwinnett - 400 Rabbit Hill Road, Dacula 30019) to celebrate

NPBAD for this year! The event will be held from 10am to 5pm.

Admission is entirely FREE as well as FREE parking for humans. All dogs
must be on a leash if not inside the gates of the dog park. Dogs cannot
be left unsupervised. This facility is meant for playtime and
socialization, so do not bring antisocial dogs! Dogs under 20 pounds are
required to play in the pen designated for 20 pounds and under. No
puppies under a month old will be allowed into the park. Bowls with
running water are installed into each of the play areas. Tobacco, glass,
and food products are not allowed inside the play areas. Other breeds are also more than welcome to join in the fun!
