Spring Concert 2014 "I hear America singing"

Gwinnett Community Band and Sugar Hill LDS Choir announce ninth annual free community concert May 3, 4 & 11

Suwanne, Ga, March 2014- The 60-voice Sugar Hill LDS Choir of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be joined by the 60-piece Gwinnett Community Band for their ninth annual FREE community concert themed "I hear America singing". The multi-media performance will be held at 7 pm on Saturday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 4th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Sugar Hill Stake Center at 4833 Suwanee Dam Rd. in Suwanee near North Gwinnett High School and Sunday, May 11th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lilburn at 1150 Cole Dr. In addition to paying tribute to the armed forces, the evening will include a variety of musical favorites from Broadway to patriotic to folk song such as "Singing in the rain", "Broadway Blockbusters" and "An American Celebration". No ticket needed. Both groups have performed for major venues and events thought Metro Atlanta. Established in 1984, the Gwinnett Community Band is a non-profit group of volunteer, adult amateur volunteer musicians. The Sugar Hill LDS Choir draws its volunteer members from Dawson, Hall, Gwinnett and Forsyth counties and was named by local media as one of the best church choirs in the county. Most recently, the choir was extended and invite by the mayor of Washington, D.C. to sing at the 2012 and 2013 National Day Memorial Choral Festivals held at the Kennedy Center.
