Pumpkin Pacer 5K and Fun Run

The proceeds from the Oct. 8 Pumpkin Pacer will benefit 6-year-old Andrew Whetstine of Dacula. Whetstine suffers from a rare disease called Mowat-Wilson Syndrome. In his short lifetime, Whetstine has undergone 17 surgeries and spent over 400 days in the hospital.

The event will include a fun run that begins at 8 a.m., followed by a 5k race at 8:30 a.m. as well as a costume contest. There will be a cash prize for the top male and female finishers.
