Soil Testing even in the Summer can prove to be beneficial

Did you know that your soil is going through changes all through the growing season? Nutrients are pulled from the soil and if not replenished, vegetables will not produce or be quite as they should be. Taking a soil sample is so easy and for the cost of the sample ($8.00 cash or check) is the best way to know the pH level in your soil and what you need to add to produce the best vegetables and plants.
To take a soil sample, take a ziplock bag, or other container and walk the area you need testing. Take two to three tablespoons of soil from at least eight to ten places until it all equals up to two cups of soil. If the soil is wet, lay it out on newspaper and allow it to dry. Bring it to our office, located at 750 South Perry Street - Suite 400 - Lawrenceville 30046. We are located in the Gwinnett Annex Building where the tag office is located and on the 4th floor. It will take approximately 10 to 12 days for results to come back either email or regular mail. If you have questions, give us a call at 678.377.4010.
