Ministry Provides Weekend Food for Schoolchildren
"Nothing but the Truth" organization seeks donations.
A local ministry working to help local schoolchildren is asking for volunteers.
"Nothing but the Truth" needs volunteers to collect items for the food bags, pack and deliver weekend food bags to schools and assist with quarterly outreach to school staff.
In a 2012 interview with Patch, ministry organizer Scarlett Rigsby explained, “Our program is geared directly toward the kids to help them through the weekend in case they are living in an extended stay or under other circumstances. The kids are under the free or reduced lunch program, so the counselors have identified the kids we serve as having a tough time on the weekend with food.”
