A Thank You to My Hamilton Mill Hometown

Thank you to Hamilton Mill neighbors for donating nearly 600 pounds of items to The Pantry during the Winter Wonderland Event.

Today I want to use my blog on Dacula Patch to thank my generous neighbors and friends.  In December, Hamilton Mill held its annual Winter Wonderland including Pictures with Santa.   Our amazing local Santa (www.daculasanta.com) and I donate our time and talent to this event and in exchange, neighbors were asked to bring a donation for The Pantry at Hamilton Mill UMC.  The Pantry was established to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of families and individuals in our community and is open to all persons in need, regardless of their religious affiliation or association with HMUMC.  It truly does great work.  (http://www.hmumc.org/700505.ihtml)

Last weekend we got the opportunity to bring all of the donations from our Winter Wonderland event to The Pantry at HMUMC and we got a peek into the operation.  It was impressive!  In a blink of an eye, they had unloaded the overflowing truck of donations.   Shortly thereafter, the donations had been weighed, sorted and stored - waiting for someone else in need.   I am proud to say that our neighborhood donated nearly 600 lbs of items to the Pantry, in just a few short hours in December.

Thank you my friends for being so generous!
