Dacula Lions Kick off Adopt-a-Road Program
Local club will work to clean up a 1-mile stretch of Fence Road on a quarterly basis.
The Dacula Lions Club kicked off its participation in the Adopt-A-Road program on May 12, by taking ownership of a one-mile stretch of Fence Road, from down to Alcovy Ridge Subdivision.
Lion Jennifer Khaleel, President of the Dacula Lions Club said, “This is a very important project for us, as it provides our club with a way to help in keeping our community looking great. And, of course, it falls under the mission of Lions Clubs all around the world – We Serve!”
The Dacula Lions Club will clean up Fence Road, on a quarterly basis. The remaining dates slated for the Dacula Lions Club participation for 2012 are July 14, Sept. 8 and Dec. 8.

Lion Linda Moore was instrumental in setting plans into motion, for the club’s participation with the Gwinnett County Clean and Beautiful Program. Lion Moore said, “We had a great turnout for our very first day, and we’re proud to take part in this program.”
The Dacula Lions Club plans to expand its participation in keeping Dacula beautiful, by donating a tree to the . The tree will be officially presented to , immediately after the park is opened on May 28. In addition, the Dacula Lions Club will have an information table available at the Dacula Festival.
