GCPD Offering Personal Empowerment Program for Children

Weeklong class will be offered at Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula.

Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to attend a free, personal empowerment program offered by the Gwinnett County Police Department Crime Prevention Unit.

The 10-hour radKIDS program includes lessons on home safety, school safety, personal safety and more. The lessons include a mixture of classroom instruction and physical activity taught over a 5-day period.

In Dacula, the program will be held at from June 18-22. Morning (9-11 a.m.) and afternoon (1-3 p.m.) sessions will be available. Parents are required to stay and are asked to commit to attending all five days of the program.

Program slots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
